There's nothing worse than when you've been using your device for a while and it starts looking a bit worse for wear.

It's a necessity to clean your device every now and then, because long-term usage and performance of your device relies on regular maintenance.

This will help maximise flavour on every hit. Hardware maintenance is always extremely important,

but now more than ever we must be looking after anything we handle daily with regular cleaning.

You may be a bit intimidated at first, but we've got all the staff together at Vampire Vape to put together a quick and simple guide on how to clean the most common Lana device Pod.

What device do you have?

First, it's important to know what device you have and how it is made up. You can check this by looking at your device manual,

or you can simply look up your device online; this will tell you what sort of kit you have, or give you a pdf of the user manual which will tell you how to dismantle the vape kit,

and what pieces will need a good clean!

When you need to clean your device

We recommend cleaning your vape tank every time you change flavours so you always get the best flavour for your taste buds every time.

For this, a simple rinse and clean with soap and water will do. However we find that most domesticated houses tend to have various 'stainless steel' cleaning products like disinfecting wipes,

and microfiber cloths which will do well to clean drip tips and the outer shells of your vape mod or ohm tank if your fan of an ohm vape.

This sort of cleaning will be roughly the same as cleaning your cell phone or mobile phone with a lint-free cloth, but sometimes this isn't good enough.

It is best to make a habit of doing this once a week alongside a more thorough clean every couple of weeks to keep your device in the best condition.

Maintaining your device like this will ensure consistent output.

There are really two levels of cleaning, so let's break them down...

A Simple Rinse

Detach tank from your mod

Dispose of any remaining e-liquid in the tank

Completely disassemble your tank

Place all tank components into a bowl and wash until water is clean (if the tank is extremely dirty, a few drops of dish soap will help)

Dry off with a paper towel and leave to air-dry for 10-15 minutes

Reassemble your newly cleaned device!

A Deep Clean

Detach tank from your mod

Dispose of any remaining e-liquid in the tank

Completely disassemble your tank

Dampen a cloth or paper towel with alcohol (70 isopropyl alcohol & high-proof and non-flavoured vodka works best as a solvent to break down e-liquid deposits)

and scrub any tough areas until the tank is completely clean

Wipe and rinse with warm water

Leave to air-dry for 10-15 minutes

Reassemble your device

Changing your Coils

Depending on how often you use your device, you will need to change your coils regularly to ensure the best performance from your device.

We have a wide range of coils available on our website for you to choose from, and changing it over is relatively simple.

Unsure of when you need to change your coils? Read more about how you can know here! This will entirely depend on the device that you are using,

but generally speaking, you just need to remove the tank from the device and discard the remaining e-liquid. Unscrew the coil from the tank and screw on the new one.

Once you have reattached your tank, you are ready to go.

Cleaning Pod Lana device Pod

Cleaning pod kits can be a little tricky too. Pod vape kits need TLC too but you don't need to be scrub them with as much aggressive vigour as a sub omh device.

It's best to follow these steps:

Detach the pod from the main kit

Place all tank components into a bowl and wash until water is clean (if the device is very dirty a few drops of dish soap will help)

Get in all the nooks and crannies with a Q-tip -  this will soak up the grime and clean at the same time

Dry off with a paper towel and leave to air-dry for 10-15 minutes

Reassemble your newly cleaned device!
